DONALDSON, Dagmar Louisa March 1, 1924 February 12, 2008 Dagmar Louisa
Donaldson passed away on February 12th, 2008 after a heroic struggle with
cancer. She is survived by her sons David and Richard, daughter-in-laws
Sharon and Bobbie, grandson Brett, his wife Lacey and great grandchildren

in Trail, BC, while pursuing a business career, that she met Arthur
Donaldson on the golf course. They married on September 3rd, 1947 and raised
two boys, primarily in Victoria and Vancouver. During these years, while
busy nurturing her family, she enjoyed curling, volunteering and became an
avid duplicate bridge player. In 1981, Dagmar and Art moved to Vancouver

the Chemanius and Nanaimo areas. In 1993 they moved to Nanoose Bay to live
out the rest of their Golden Years together. Dagmar was an avid reader and

beloved pets. Rose-Marie is survived and sadly missed by her brother Ed,
sister-in-law Thelma, Auntie Frieda Driessen, Linda, Eric and Sarianna

Rose-Marie was intelligent, humorous, very talented and above all a
thoughtful, generous, caring person who touched many lives. She was born in
Roermond, Netherlands and came to Canada at the age of five with her family.
They lived in several places in BC and Alberta before locating permanently
at Sayward in 1965. After obtaining her B.A. and teacher's certificate at
UVic Rose-Marie did post-graduate studies in Amsterdam and at UBC which led
to her obtaining a Masters degree in Medieval Literature. She had successful

live and work in Sayward. She taught French at Sayward School and then
worked for MacMillan Bloedel. After surviving breast cancer Rose-Marie
started her own plant business, Salmon River Gardens, and wrote many
gardening articles. Together, Rose-Marie and Bruce built a happy and
fulfilling life which was tragically cut too short. Rose-Marie's family
appreciate so much the outpouring of love and concern for her after the
accident. We know the thoughts and prayers of many have constantly been with
her. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you. Please understand we are respecting
RoseMarie's expressed wishes by holding no service or public gathering of

That God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly; In death

part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful

are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the
same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. 447703
