BREAKS Catherine Mabel Passed away peacefully on March 22, 2009 in
Hope at the age of 65. Cathy will be sadly missed by daughter Lana and
grandson Zach, sister Georgina and brother Cecil and their families;
good friend Cheryl Lea and many family and friends around BC. A
memorial is to be held Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:00pm at The
Northwest Harvest Church, 888 3rd Avenue, Hope, BC. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the Vancouver Humane Society would be
appreciated. See you at the Rainbow bridge Gramma Coffee.

DAYKIN Geoffrey 1918 - 2009 Peacefully on Friday March 27th, 2009 at
Royal City Manor Geoffrey Daykin passed at age 90. Geoffrey was born
May 23, 1918 in Barnsley England. He moved to Canada as a young boy
and later joined the Canadian Army during the Second World War. When
he returned he went to UBC and graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor of
applied Science in forestry. He worked at Cellulose in Terrace B.C.
then later he returned to UBC to take a teaching course. He taught at
a Native trading centre and then went on to teach at BCIT until he
retired in 1983. Geoffrey is survived by his wife of 53 years
Lorraine, sister Esme and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of
Geoffrey's life will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at 11:00A.M. In
the Queen's Ave United Church at 529 Queen's Ave. New Westminster,
with Rev. Doug Alexander officiating. The family wishes to extend
their sincere thanks to the staff of the Royal City Manor for the care
and understanding shown to Geoffrey during his many visit to Lorraine
and in the end for his own care. Flowers are gratefully declined, if
friends so desire donations in Geoffrey memory can be made to a
charity of your choice.

KOVACIC Richard (Rick) Born in Vancouver on July 28, 1958 died on
March 20, 2009. Rick is survived by his parents Stan and Louise,
brothers Robert and Stanley, extended family, in the lower mainland
and Europe. Private family arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations
in Rick's memory to the BC heart and Stroke Foundation.

McNALLY - Catherine Edith Passed away peacefully March 16, 2009 in
Vancouver. She was born April 20, 1920 in Regina to Samuel Gent and
Ethel Ayre and is predeceased by them, her sister, Ellen Lindley and
her husband Henry. She will be forever missed by children Doreen
(Terry), Edward (Donna), Ken and Terry (Carole). Special thanks to all
the caring staff at Royal Arch Masonic Home and to Dr. W. Lim.
Graveside service April 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., Ocean View Cemetery,
Burnaby.

METZ Lydia Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Peace
Arch Hospital on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the age of 88 years.
Lydia was predeceased by her parents Michael and Margaret Mitrenga;
sister Olga; brothers Otto and Melvin. She is survived by brothers
Larry (Phylis) and Hugo, sister Edna, daughter Janet (Larry), Glenn,
Ross (Laverne), and Nelson; grandchildren Nicole (Kris), Hayden (Ann),
and Jessie Lane; great-grandchildren Jestin and Sarah, and many
extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Lydia's life
will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:30pm at Arbor Chapel,
Arbor Cremation Centre, Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14664 - 72 Ave.,
Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

STECKLER George Eugene 1928 - 2009 George passed away peacefully at
home on the evening of March 25th after a short battle with cancer. He
was surrounded by his family and is survived by his loving wife Flo,
his four children Melanie, Gerry, Don and Byron, and his seven
grandchildren. True to his Saskatchewan roots, George was an avid
bridge player, and his friends at Marlborough House will miss him at
their games. He was an all-around handyman and his expert repairs (for
pretty much anything!) will be sorely missed by family and friends
alike. Thanks to the staff of the Tri-Cities Home Health Palliative
Care team for their support. A private celebration of George's life
will be held at his daughter's home on Saturday, April 4.

WOODBURY George Allan Peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 26,
2009 at the age of 87. He leaves behind his beloved wife Margaret May
of 31 years. George is survived by his sons Don, Allan (Beverly) and
his family and Gary (France) and his family and stepdaughters Karen
Justice, Beverly (Gus Evans), Judy (Brian Locker) and their families.
George spent many years with BC Hydro and retired as Comptroller in
1980. He loved to play golf and missed playing as his health
deteriorated. A funeral celebrating his life will be held at GRAHAM
FUNERAL HOME, 34616 - 99th Street, Oliver, B.C., on Tuesday, March 31,
2009 at 11 o'clock, officiated by Father Rex Velmonte. As an
expression of sympathy, donations maybe made to the Canadian Lung
Association, (250) 498-3833.
