BERNARD Alphonse Joseph (Al) September 4, 1929 - April 3, 2009 Al
passed away peacefully at Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody. Al is
lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Anna, and sons Mark
(Cheryl) and Brian. Al was born in Morinville, Alberta. He was the
18th child of Henri and Hedwige Bernard, both deceased. Al was
predeceased by his adoptive parents, Angelina (his oldest sister) and
Alphonse Caouette, and is survived by his brother Roger Caouette
(Vivian), his niece Lisa Willoughby (Bryan), and many other nieces and
nephews. Al was a proud and active member of the Fraternal Order of
Eagles No. 20 for over 24 years and was a Past President. He worked at
Fraser Mills for 45 years, retiring in April 1989. Prayers will be
held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes,
828 Laval Square, Coquitlam (Maillardville) with Funeral Mass at the
same location on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 10:30 am, with
refreshments to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired,

DESJARDINS Robert J. Robert J. Desjardins, known to most as Des, sadly
passed away suddenly on January 8, 2009. He will be missed by his
partner Merilynn Brodie and his three sons; Karl, Paul and Dale as
well as his two grandchildren Ricardo and Alexa. As well as his sister
Pam and all the Desjardins clan. A Memorial Mass folowed by a
reception will be held on April 18th, 2009 at St. Sailes Parish, 6610
Balmoral St., Burnaby, BC. at 1pm.

MOLLICA Elisa (Cinelli) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
passing of our beloved Mother. Elisa (Cinelli) Mollica passed through
Heaven's door at her home in Burnaby, BC, surrounded by her family at
83 years of age. Elisa was at the very center of so many lives. She
will be deeply missed by her children; Michele, deceased, (Rita), Gino
(Delaine), Pietro (Zanie), Maria (George), her grandchildren; Andy
(Jana), Frank (Tina), Michael, Rob, Lisa, Nicole, Leanne, Clayton
(Lisa), Cory, Angela, Lindsey, her great-grandchildren; Elysa, Mia,
Michael, Brandon, Breann, Bradley, Tristan, Ashia, Benicio, Naysa and
everyone else who loves her. Ma has left an immeasurable void in the
lives of everyone who knew her. She leaves us with her stories, her
wisdom and her endless love and care. Prayers for Elisa Mollica will
be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Sorrows
Parish, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Mass of Christian Burial will be
held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Entombment to follow
at the Abbey Mausoleum located at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000
Imperial Street, Burnaby. The family would like to acknowledge and
extend their appreciation to the nurses, caregivers and doctors who
helped us all through a very difficult time.

SCORETZ Sara Jane (nee French) July 12, 1909 - April 9, 2009 Sara was
born in Belfast, Northern Ireland; the family immigrated to Canada 12
years later. While, residing in Saskatchewan and Rossland, B.C. prior
to spending most of the last 70 years of her life in North Vancouver.
She was predeceased in 1989 by her husband Michael and daughter
Theresa in 2003. She is survived by her sons, Don, Garry, and Patrick,
as well as 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 20 nieces and
nephews. Mom, Nana, Great-Grandmother, devoted her life to being a
care-giver starting in 1925 working in the hospital in Rossland, BC.
She left in 1935 to marry her husband Michael in Flin Flon, Manitoba,
and raised their 4 children. She spent a good portion of the time "on
her own" as her husband's work took him away from the family home. The
arrival of grandchildren was another care-giving adventure. Mother
also worked as a professional care-giver well past the normal
retirement age, often caring for seniors that were younger than she
was. Mother passed away peacefully at Lion's Gate Hospital with her
sons at her side. We are grateful to the staff at Lion's Gate Hospital
for their kind and devoted care. Prayers will be at Holy Trinity Roman
Catholic Church, 2725 Lonsdale, North Vancouver, BC on Tuesday
evening, April 14th at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, April
15th at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers a donation to the charity of your
choice would be appreciated.

STOYKO Helen November 3, 1923 - April 9, 2009 It is with great sadness
we announce the passing of Helen Stoyko. She will be deeply missed by
her brother John Lewis, son Patrick (Kim), daughters Francine (Bill)
and Therese (Chris), son-in-law Dan and her many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Michael and
daughter Michelle. Prayers will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at
7pm followed by a Funeral Mass Thursday, April 16, 2009 2:30 pm at St.
Joseph's Parish, 140 Moody Street, Port Moody with a reception to
follow. Family burial will be Friday, April 17, 2009 11am at Gardens
of Gethsemani Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

WEBB Margaret Mary (Williams) Born in Alton, Hampshire on November 27,
1938 and died on April 8, 2009. Married to John N. W. Webb in St.
Hilda's, Sechelt, on August 27 1960. (She put up with the lucky guy
for 48 1/2 years.) She is survived by her husband; daughters; Diana
and Sylvia, sons; David and George; grandchildren; Tyrone, Crystal,
Carmen, Alaina , William, Jasmine, Justine, Wayne, Brittany, Travis;
great-grandchildren; Dorian, Daenin and Jonathan. Margaret came to
Sechelt in 1947 spending a wonderful summer on the beach at Davis Bay.
After graduating from Elphinstone in 1956 she moved to Vancouver to
work, and later to meet her husband, to be, John. Four children and
several towns later the family returned to the coast and Margaret's
parents in 1972. She taught piano and looked after seniors as a
registered homemaker until retiring, after a job well done, in 2007.
Recognised for 20,000 hours of work with Home Support and a graduate
of the Royal Conservatory of music. Memorial Service, at 2:30,
Saturday afternoon April 18, 2009, in St. Hilda's Anglican church.
Reception in Church hall, immediately following.
