Hello Listers

My father's first cousin, Victor Albert PHILLIPS, b. 1903 in
Dumfries (but raised in Ayr), s/o Albert Edward PHILLIPS & Margaret Lees
(née CORNELIUS) migrated to Canada in 1927, arriving in Quebec on 20th
August aboard the Canadian Pacific ship "Montcalm". I have the reference
nos for his immigration details.

According to a family letter, he was married in Canada to Molly
(Mary?) and their first daughter (of 3) was born on 2 AUG 1933. References
to a family visit from Scotland don't mention travelling across Canada, so
I'm guessing that he settled in one of the eastern Provinces.

Does this information ring any bells for anyone?

How do I go about checking for his marriage, subsequently the
births of his children and for his presumed death?

Also, does anyone know if his immigration record may point to
his destination in Canada?

Many thanks.

Pam
