I have ALLENs from Ipstones near the beginning of the Cauldon Canal. Thomas
ALLEN was some type of furnace man for ironworks. I am trying to find out if
any of his sons were boatmen. Their names were: James b. abt. 1848: John b.
abt. 1856; and Alfred b. abt. 1861. Thanks
