Hi Listers,
I subscribed a week or two ago and have been lurking, but nothing
happening.
My Greatgrandfather, Henry PARSONS, said he was born Maidstone Kent about
1830....Cant find any records....his father may have been Richard PARSONS
Barge owner, who was sent to Tasmania for having more Coal than he should
have..Tut..Tut.
Now....If the family lived on the Barge, and the child (probably Twins) was
born while the Barge was at Maidstone, can anyone tell me where the birth
may have been registered? Was there a Church near the Docks in London that
the Bargees used for Baptisms ?
Please help me up the brick wall. I am sure I will find steps on the other
side!
