Hi everyone on the Canal List,

I am researching my Mum's family who were ALL boatmen and women on the Leeds
& Liverpool Canal in Lancashire, going back at least 3 generations and right
up to my grandfather, Thomas RUDDOCK.

I am also researching my mum's cousin's boatmen tree back from Thomas
CHEETHAM, he was my grandad's best friend.

As Canal boat families inter-married with other Canal boat families I have
quite a collection of surnames now, which continues to grow!

I would be very interested in exchanging information with anyone who has L&L
Canal Boatmen with the following surnames:

ABRAM
ATHERTON
BAYBUTT
BENTHAM
CHEETHAM
GIBBONS
HESKETH
JOHNSON
LAMB
RUDDOCK
SPENCER
STOPFORTH
WEBSTER

Although not directly related to me, I do have some information on other
Leeds & Liverpool families which I have come across while researching mine
and would be willing to share.
