Hello List,
For those of you unfamiliar with the area and looking at a modern day map,
yes Harborne 'village' has no canal at all. These boatees would be found in
what is now Smethwick (still in the parish of Harborne). The nearest canal
to Harborne being the 'Birmingham Western Bypass' aka The Dudley Canal. This
part of it linked the old bit near Dudley with the Birmingham - Worcester
Canal which it met at Selly Oak.
