Subject: {not a subscriber} Unusual christian name - Fleetwood

On doing my family research which has many canal people I have come across
census and parish records of many baptisms and have found on about three
occasions the name of FLEETWOOD as a christian name and occasionally
FLEETY. My research is in the Lancashire area, from Preston to Lancaster so
I am very familiar with the place name Fleetwood but I'm wondering if anyone
knows the origin of this as a christian name in canal families.
