Hello listers,
I am trying to find some 'on line' information about the construction of the Chesterfield canal 1770-77. I have done a lot of 'googling' but only come up with the briefest of details about the floating of the company and the lengthiest of blurbs about the canal's attributes as a tourist destination. I would like to find out how it was built, where did they start and finish. A contemporary map would be great. Any advice?
