Good to see your post. I will try to locate an answer on
this, or maybe someone will beat me to it.
Would you please refresh my memory on the first names of
your Hosking's? I was at Pine Grove in Nevada City the
other day and came across some Hosking's as I was
photographing gravestones. They are not on the site yet.

Nevada County had a large population of Cornish miners. I am
curious as
to which port of entry they typically came in through.
Also, were naturalization records in Nevada County courts,
Calif courts
or federal courts? Where would I look for the records??
