Surname: James, Williams

My James family apparently worked the "North Star Mine", G-grandfather
William and grandfather Frank (or Francis),he went by both. Do you know
of any information on this gold mine? It is interesting that Elizabeth
Anne Williams was a young girl when she came to Grass Valley with her family
from Cornwall, England. Her 5th son carried the name of Thomas Lincoln.
Could there be a connection? I don't know yet!
