Hi,
Am not a "local" but my AAA map for Grass Valley
indicates there's an "Old Catholic Cemetery" located
on Church Street. Map also indicates that the St.
Joseph's Cultural Center and Grass Valley Museumare
located across the street.Goggle search indicates
following:
Phone 530-273-5509
410 S. Church St.
Grass Valley, CA 95945
Open: Tuesdays through Fridays 12:30 to 3:30

My 1965 source book (Gold Cities) only mentions St
Canice's for Catholic Churches in GV. Location given
as corner of Washington and Coyote Streets. Write-up
indicates it was first opened in 1853 with present
structure being built in 1864.

Hi
My 1965 source book (Gold Cities) has B&W pictures of
Trinity Episcopal Church and Fire
Houses #1 (now a museum)in Nevada City. Fire house
picture includes two buildings to the immediate right
of it (could be where Thelma lived). If interested in
.JPG scans, contact me direct (cannot attach photos to
Rootsweb pages).
