The Redman's Society and Pocahontas Society were very popular in the early part of the last century. There were a number of fraternal organizations besides those. My ggrandfather was in the order of the Owls in Grass Valley and my grandmother was a Pocahontas.

I believe both Redman and Pocahontas societies are alive and kicking in GV. I haven't been able to ever find anyone to give me any information though.
