There are numerous web sites that list the location of Allison Ranch (the name lives on and when you do a Goggle on it it shows up because it's in the address of a lot of businesses, etc. )
Looks to me the best bet to get its location on a map is from URL:
<http://www.placenames.com/us/06057/>;, selecting "Allison Ranch (Historical)".
Based on web search, it also apparently is listed in a book on CA place names that's for sale. I have a 1949 version (by Gudde) but it's not listed.
Do you have any other first names for an Allison in that time frame in the clan? Think I ran across a couple of cases where an Allison migrated to Nevada county CA in that time from. Believe one case he started out in KY.
