This site provides some extraordinarily interesting information on the
Cannon families of Ireland. It provides a history of the name as it
evolved over thousands of years and was gradually anglicized. Most of
the variations are listed. And the Coat of Arms is illustrated and
described.

Its historical essays on the patterns of emigration, both in time,
region of origin in Ireland, and destinations in North America and
Australia, provide many insights for genealogists.

It also provides significant information on the Irish who originated
from Scotland due to persecution of The Presbyterian Church of Scotland.
