My Cannon line is mostly from Laurens Co, SC. However, there were Cannons
with the same given names who left this area and went west to KY, Ill, IN,
AR, and other states.
I feel that back in the 1700s these families are linked to mine, but need
someone to help me link them.
(1) James Cannon, b. abt 1798 Laurens Co., SC, d. btwn 1870/1880, m.
Juretta ? called Rita), b. 1810 SC, d. after 1883. Laurens Co.
Children: (1)Elizabeth b. ca 1830, d. aft 1900; (2) James, Jr b.
1833; (3) Caroline b. 1835; (4) Capers Bowman b. 1836; (5) John b. 1838;
(6)Pinckney b. 1840, d. aft 1880; (7) Jane b. 1842; (8)Nathan b.1843, d
1912; (9) Benjamin b 1845; (10)William N. b. 1847. Nathan is the only
child to marry, unless James Jr did. I can't find anything on him. William
was KIA in Civil War.
(2) Nathan Cannon, b. abt 1843 SC, d. 1912, Laurens Co., SC, m. Laura J.
Bagwell, b. 1858, Waterloo Twnshp, Laurens Co., SC, d. 1925, Greenwood Co.,
SC.
Children: (1)Luther, (2) James Franklin (3) Lida (4) JOHN HENRY
(5) Benjamin,

(3) John Henry Cannon, b. 1882, d. 1950, m. Sallie Belle Gray, b. 1880,
d. 1931
