Hello Fellow Snoops, I need your help.

Does anyone on this list live near
the main branch of the Huntington Beach
Public Library? That would be willing
to transcribe an obituary that I would
be delighted to pay you for?

I am looking for this obit :
Hyacinch BATES
died November 9, 1985.

I DID write to the Huntington Beach Library
and sent a donation. My letter and donation
were returned with a letter from the
Reference Service Coordinator,
Sherrie Daugherty. She indicates that
"we asist our local patrons with their needs when they
visit us, but we are not staffed to embark on
individual research projects. Referrals
to professional services may be available
from your local library."

In other words: NOPE; Sorry Charlie, Get Lost,
Ain't gonna happen, Get Real, Don't call us we'll
call you, Don't need your puny donation,
Zippo..........

Geeze, I cannot AFFORD to hire a professional
genealogist. They charge like $70 bucks an hour!
And besides, wouldn't that take all the fun out of it?
