Hello Nancy,
I searched the California death index for you (see attached):
HOWARD, G. C., d. 24 Apr 1914, age 34, Orange County (30)
There were quite a few George Howards on the index. The one above was the only one that died in Orange County.

You can order a copy of his DC at:
http://www.oc.ca.gov/recorder/frmdeath.htm

The DC should list where he is buried. Any questions please post to this message board. Good luck.
