Hello Rachel,
The SSDI lists last known address and not necessarily what state and county a person died. Search the CDI for more accurate information. I usually get the death certificate and the obit. Most obituaries have limited information and the DC has a lot more information such as funeral director, cemetery, informant, parent's names, etc. Below are some links that will help you find the information you're seeking.
