Getting a copy his his DC will prove very helpful in your research. He died in Los Angeles County but last res was in Orange County. Which paper do you search? The DC will list the informant (usually a family member), the funeral director (often an over looked source; they can be contacted about the publishing of obits), cemetery etc. The DC is the place to start when researching a death.
