Five hundred friends and family members met at Calvary Church on Tuesday to say goodbye and thank you to Beverly Nestande, who died Sept. 27 at her home in Orange.


Nestande, a tireless volunteer and mentor -- and never much of a wallflower -- was there on videotape to say it right back to them.

"Who better to say what she would want to say? " said her oldest son, Barry Nestande, 39.
