I did not find an obituary for her in either the Orange County Register or the Los Angeles Times.

Do you have a copy of her death certificate? If so contact the funeral director and see if an obituary was published.

If you don't have a copy of her death certificate order a copy. California vital records can not be viewed by the public, but you can order copies of birth, marriage, & death certificates.
