I'm a newbie,and have been seeking the parents of James Macnaughton,
born ca. 1778 in Cumberland Co., NC. Wife was Tabitha Rogers, and they
lived in Pulaski and Twiggs Cos.(GA) before moving to Muscogee Co.in
1828(later Chattahoochee Co.) James died in 1854. I am also seeking
info. on Thomas N. McNorton (James' grandson) who died during the Civil
War period and may have mined salt before or during the war.
