Hi,
this is what I have on this Hugh McKenzie.I am not related I just have some
books.
Hugh was born in the Isle of Skye and emigrated between 1745 and 1750 to
N.C.settling in what now is Moore County on Mill Creek near present Knollwood
airport.Hugh m. A Miss Nuicholson who was from what is now Richmond County.He
served as a Continintal Army of general Greene during the Revolution and was
made a lieutenant.While inn the service,he became sick and died and was
buried in Greensville S.C.Hugh and wife had these children .No birth dates
John ,Polly,and Nancy.
