I am interested in attending the upcoming Scottish Heritage Symposium in
Laurinburg, NC with my wife and 14 year old son. However my wife is
reluctant to make the trip because she thinks there will be little of
interest for her (she is not into genealogy/Scottish heritage) or our son.
She would like to tour museums, attractions, antique shops, second-hand
shops etc. My son is into hunting, biking, fishing, archery etc. Does
Laurinburg have any of these type facilities that could occupy her/his time
while I am attending the symposium? Has the Chamber of Commerce or
historical society produced a brochure which outlines historic, scenic and
recreational sites in or near Laurinburg? Thanks for any help offered with
these questions.
