Hello,
I don't think that what I found in Carolina Scots refers much to your
forenames.
However there is some on the McDonalds.
I thought maybe it might help.

Another Scots highland family that was surveyed was in the Pee Dee area of
South Carolina. It is part of the larger McDonald connection which lived
between Longstreet and Galatia Presbyterian Churches in the original Cape
fear settlement of North Carolina. Most of the information on this family
comes from a booklet on the McDonald family written in the early 1920's.owned
by Jeannette McDonald Stone, and available in the genealogy vertical file of
N.C. State library in Raleigh.Informtion on the Dillon County branch of this
family can also be found in Mary Belle M.Bethea's Ancestral key to the Pee
Dee.

The head of this family was Neil McDonald who with his wife and 3 sons,
emigrated from the Isle of Skye to N.C. in 1802 . They settled about 9 miles
north of Fayetteville, near Galatia Church in Cumberland County. His wife was
a Finlayson.They had:
I.John m. ____ McNeil and lived near Sandy Grove Pres. Church in Cumberland
Co.
They had 3 children:
a.Neil N. b. 3/12/1828 d. 4/1/1908 .m. Ann Woodly and had several children.
b.Angus m. Sarah MacCaskill;no children.He d in the war between the states.

II.Malcolm b 1785 d. 2/16/1857 m 3/19/1818.Mary MacQuaige in Cumberland

They moved from the Longstreet Church section (where they were members) to
Blue's Bridge on Lumber River, and later sold out and moved to Marion District
S.C. ,now Dillon Co. ,near Carolina Pres. Church.he was one of the original
Elders in Carolina Church.Which was organized in 1850.They had 7 children:
A.Annie b. 5/5/1819 m.Benjamin L. Alford .According to Mary Bathea she was
Bens 2nd wife.They had one child.(not listed)
B.Alexander 7/5/1820 d.4/ 3/1902 m. Katherine McInnis of the Carolina Section
of present Dillon Co..She was b. 12/9/ 1838 d. 4/23/1899.There 6 children are
traced in the McDonald booklet. And information on them can be found at
various places in Bethea. The present Dillon Co. McDonalds are descended from
this couple.Mrs Hanna Henderson Parham includes considerable information on
some of the descendants of Alexander J. and Katherine MacDonalds son
Malcolm-and his wife Mary Alene McQueenMacDonald.Malcolm John McDonald
