I am trying to find information on my Monroe line. My 3rd ggf was Alexander Monroe, b. 1801 in Columbia, Richland Co., SC, d. 18 Aug 1879, Santa Rosa County, FL; m. Mary Jane McCallum b. 1794 in NC, d. 1870 SRC, FL. Alexander's father was b. in NC.
Alexander had children: 1Neil C.Monroe, b. 1822 SC, m. Sarah; 2William Duncan Monroe, b. 1831 AL, m. Mary Ann Cushman, B 1840 AL; 3Daniel C. Monroe, b. 1834 SRC, FL, m. Virginia Cushman; 4Sarah Ann Monroe; 5Margaret Catherine Monroe; and 6Mary E. Monore
Alexander's grandchildren were:

My line is thru Henry Cushman Monroe, who married Adele Mims. They had:

My grandfather, James Mims Monroe, m. my grandmother, Stella Christine Blocker and had my mother:
Louise Adele Monroe
If you have any information on Alexander, please contact me. I have recently searched records at the National Archives and the Margret Mitchell Library in Atlanta and as of yet, don't have any concrete facts pertaining to where Alexander's father was from except a reference to NC. I plan on going to Montreat to the Presbyterian Church Records Department to search as I do have references that Alexander was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Milton, FL.
Or is you know of the Cushmans, looks like sisters, Mary Ann and Virginia that married the Monroe brothers mentioned above, please let me know.
