Here is some Blue/MacLennon, and MacMillan ancestry
that I recently found on the net.

For some time, now, I have realized that the Blues,
MacMillans, and MacLennons were cousins of some sort.
This list shows that relationship to some degree.

It appears from this list of Scottish Clan origins
that we are all cousins, descended from the same
ancestors.

Gillaagam is probably the antecedent of the names
MacGhilliguirman, Guirman, and Gurman; surnames that
some of our ancestors used after they were forced to
choose surnames by the English after Culloden.

By 1748 or so, Malcolm Gurman, husband of Marion Sarah
Smith, was using "Blue" as his surname to further
please the English.

As some of you may know, our chief, George MacMillan,
traces his ancestry back to King Macbeth, through
Gillchrist and Cormac. Therefore it follows that we,
too, are descended from MacBeth, because Cormac is the
father of Gillaagam.

The material below is the first time that I have seen
the name Oirbertaigh listed.

Hope you enjoy this and can give me a little assist in
researching these names.

editor as "Lamond
or Lamont." It is the pedigree instead
of the MacLennans.
