Scottish immigrants to the Cape Fear region of North Carolina
How does one find an ancestor who came by ship from Morvern Parish, Argyll, Scotland to Cape Fear, NC for the years of 1791,1792,1793, 1794, and 1795?
He carried a note of introduction from his parish Rev. Norman MacLeod to introduce him as a character of good standing to a new church. Was that a common practice? Does that mean he would likely have been going to a specific church?
