Dee, Thank you very kindly for taking the time to list the McKinnons for
me. Yes,
for sure, it will be helpful in my research. I take each known family and
try to track
them. A determination of one's ancestors sometimes requires the "process of
elimination" and with the McKinnons, a whole lot of "elimination" is
sometimes necessary.
What was the original source of the information found in this book?
I will have to work on what you sent but I find it strange that there are
TWO Neil /Neill
McKinnons [old-timers] listed and the census records only have ONE? I was
already
knowledgeable about one of those you listed and wondered if there could be a
mistake
in the date he supposedly emigrated to America / NC?
And, by the way, because I live in a foreign country, I doubly appreciate
any helping
hand.
