Liston, do you reside in the Virgin Islands. The reason I'm asking is
because I'm sure there are some elders still alive on St. John that can
perhaps steer you in the right direction. Also, the St. John census data
at the Enid Baa Library in downtown Charlotte Amalie is so small (small
population during the time you're searching) it shouldn't take any time
at all to look through the entire records. Also, if the lived on St.
John during that time period, it is highly probable that they were
baptized Moravian; thus, you can check the Moravian archives in St.
John, or as a last resort, you can check the Moravian archives in
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I just visited there in mid June. They have
extensive records on the former Danish West Indies.

If I haven't just told you something that you already know, this info
should be useful.

Good luck.

Shalom

P.S. I know a few Harleys. The ones I know all trace their roots to St.
John. As a matter of fact, they're related to my wife through the
Mathias lineage.
