I have an ancestor( Todd) who travelled between England and Jamaica,
carrying sugar, and children back to England to be educated 1800-1870. The
merchant ships were registered at Lloyds Register of Shipping- nothing to
do with Lloyds, the insurance co. Apparantly they have a large Library ,
but at the moment are in the process of moving. I have just sent an
inquiry off to them anyway, so can give an address if a contact is needed.
