Dear All,

It was a wonderful three weeks, indeed. It was spent high in the mountains
with my dog, a tent, a campstove and various other survival requirements
(including a fishing pole for the very active lake trout!). The only noises
I heard were wind through the trees, hoot owls, chattering of chipmunks, and
a few as yet unidentified ? sounds of some animal or another...one of which
took great delight in patroling my campsite late at night! :) I hope you
all will understand, but lugging a laptop wasn't a high priority for me.
For three great weeks, I didn't even have to listen to the latest sordid
details about Monica and Clinton. My cell phone was even useless "up
there." But, I was able to hike through some fantastic wilderness areas
(lost that extra 10 pounds for the effort). Now I return to civilization
not quite ready to return to work tomorrow.

I'm now plowing through some 500 emails in my inbox. While I was gone,
nothing looked too urgent on the list, from what I've been able to scan. (I
haven't even *been* to the website yet...it may not even be there!). :o))

I will also be down intermittently through the next week or two. I am also
in the process of doing a significant upgrade (including new motherboard and
processor, with another slave HD). Please be patient while I get everything
back into a routine.
