The Creeks one of the "Five Civilized Tribes" had more of a semi
democratic oligarchy a caste system than a monarchy. They were also
previous to the time of Andrew Jackson one of the most intergrated and
well adapted with the white plantation economy. Many members were known
to neighboring whites for their wealth which caused envy and resentment
which Jackson played into. Much of their lands were seized by the states
for sale to white political insiders and tribes people forcibly
relocated to Oklahoma.
