note that the book is from 1777, originally. The moravian church
(Herrnhutter) has a website.
Their original documents of Surinam, which are partly kept in Surinam and
partly in a state archive in the Netherlands are extensive. I imagine that
their archives of other places are as fruitful, once you read first the
literature that has been published about it and then if you have a chance
to go through their archives. It takes an effort, because most of the
handwritten documents are in German, but I am sure it is worth it.
