Subject: Re: Louvain/Leuven etc.

Dear Jan - Your offer to assist is greatly appreciated. I guess what I know
so far is that Henry Cerf, b. 1758, d. November 18, 1841, Brussels, his wife,
Elizabeth Wint, b. abt. 1780, d. April 2, 1841, Brussels. - and their son,
Henry (Henricus) was living in Louvain, Belgium, in 1829 (date of Henry Cerf
, his father's will). The aforementioned is what we know - Henry Cerf's
nephew, Maximilian J. Wolff, b. 1789, Prussia, is an unconfirmed
relationship. Basically the question is who is Henry Cerf, his antecedents
and his source of wealth? We are basically trying to determine, if possible,
the motivations and historical background of this wealthy man. Sincerely -
Richard Lyman.
