Hi Richard,

Yesterday while at the library I looked up Henry Cerf and Elizabeth Wint's
marriage record. I was hoping that more information would be on it. Perhaps
his place of birth or his father's name. Yeah right, no such luck. I found
the record but there wasn't much to it.

Also I found the marriage record of Maximilian Wolff and Maria Cohen in the
Great Synagogue of London. Again, no additional information. I couldn't read
the witnesses to the marriage as it's written in Hebrew.

I was pondering why Henry Cerf would marry in the Church of England and Max.
Wolff a Jewish Synagogue. I don't know much about these things but doesn't
being Jewish pass through the mother and not the father? So if Henry Cerf were
to be his father then that means his mother was the one who was Jewish.

Do you already have these records or do you want a copy?
