Dear Chris
i was very interested in your entry about the Willoughbys. I have a family
tree going back to Henry III of the Willoughbys of Parham. It goes down as
far as Charles, Ellen and Henry Leigh. Henry is apparently my Fletcher
ancestor and was married in 1819 at Bolton-le-Moors, but I haven't been able
to connect him with my family. However my brother had Willoughby as his
middle name.I was also fascinated by the fact that they were connected with
Guiana and the West Indies as my husband's family, Armstrongs and Campbells
lived in various islands, mainly Guyana, Trinidad, Barbados and Grenada.
If you have any further information I would be pleased to learn of it. I am
still finding it difficult to find out anything about my husband's
relatives. Some of the Campbells in the 18th century Army are supposed to be
related but I haven't found any definite connection.
Thank you for all the information you give over the Net.
Best wishes
Sheila Armstrong (Née Fletcher)
