There is a place in St. Thomas, called Altona, I don't have any inf. on the
origin of the name. It is actualy called Altona-Welgunst, it is located
south of "Honduras" (our French community) across from Hassel Island (if you
have a map if not let me know I will send you a snapshot). As you know,
most places were named after the family that owned the land or the name had
a family or historical connection. I will make a call home and see what I
can find out.
