I have just been checking in on the list occasionally and saw the roll call
request. I have read many of the posts re: the recent tragedy in New York.
Never realized so many people outside the US would be affected and moved to
express their feelings like I have seen here. Here in the South, we have
even been able to put aside our feelings about our "YANKEE" brothers and
acknowledge that first and foremost we are all Americans.
By the by, any info on family of William Mayo, in Barbados around 1630,
would be appreciated. He is not the same William Mayo that mapped some of
the Islands in the early 1700's. As far as I can tell, they aren't closely
related.
