The name COMMISSIONG appears in the Trinidad McNish family*:

Dorothy (Doris) COOPER** had two sons with a COMMISIONG (forename unkown):
Achoy COMMISIONG, who had daughters (details unknown);
Chin Loy COMMISIONG [d.1991], who had a son (died March 95 in a car
accident).

I can probably obtain further information from McNish cousins in Trinidad.

*descended from Polydore and Nancy McNISH who refugeed from the Gatehouse
Estate (Camden County, Georgia) of Scottish planter William McNish on 11
February 1815; Gatehouse named after WM's home in Gatehouse of Fleet,
Kirkcudbrighshire.

**daughter of Emma Tay COOPER [b.22Sep1874; d.?] and grand-daughter of
Catherine McNISH (Nenen Pinguin) [b.c1855, d.c1960,] and Robert COOPER.
Dorothy C had a later family with Charlie COOPER of Penal, current members
including (by marriage) PIPER, CLAXTON, TYSON, CLAPERTON.

best wishes to all for 2002
