Jim........

It can't hurt to download Zone Alarm and I do recommend it........but
please don't give the impression that it is an antivirus programme!! Or
a spam blocker........it isn't!! But it sure is one super
anti-hacker/trojan programme.

And you CAN use Outlook Express quite safely if you know how to
configure it against spam and viruses. I have been using it for 6 years
and have not had a viral infection for 4 of them........Norton let me
down a few times......but Outlook Express didn't!!!

Sorry for sounding testy, but I am tired of people slamming OE when
there is no need. All it takes is a little ingenuity to protect
yourself while using it.......and yes, I have Agent on here because it
strips the attachments off, but don't really like it and prefer OE.

Rant over.....

Another handy little programme (and I do have lots of them........thanks
to the Microsoft MVP's!!) is AdAware which will get rid of spyware such
as doubleclick and other cookies. It is at free at ....

I realize this is not genealogy.........but it IS protection of your
genealogy emails........so I think I can sneak in under the wire on this
one. (grin)
