Hello everyone

I am new here, and rather surprised to be here at all, as I'm Australian and only found out recently that I have Jamaican ancestors.

Researching Jamaica from Australia is not the easiest, so any advice would be appreciated.

The names I am researching are:
Grant (Kingston, St Andrews & Portland)
Parchment (St Elizabeth)
Maitland (St Elizabeth)
Dwarris
McKenzie (He's probably a dead loss - I don't even know his first name. He fathered a child in Kingston in the 1790's.)

Any distant relatives out there?
