I am half asleep (G), but your request is too vague.......depends on the
country involved......but I have ancestors with last names well before
the late 1600's. In fact, I have 2 Wills here (1500 and 1535) that have
lots of surnames......these are English Wills.

Perhaps you could explain in more detail.
