I am sure that your reference to film 1291714 would be right, it seems to be
a continuation of 1291702 and 1291705 that I consulted in London. I don't
know why I did not see 1291714 while I was there, either it was not there or
I did not look far enough. The fact is that I worked there for six hours and
by then one gets a bit tired! They seem to have a great deal of films for
Jamaica, as I am sure they have a sizable Jamaican clientele. Of course, the
problem is that I may not be going back to the FHC in London for a few
months and I feel that ordering the film here in Belgium is rather
cumbersome. You say that that film covers 1840-1848, the year I believe is
1842, no precise date. I would still like to look at births in 1874 and
1876, before civil registration and maybe too late for the other records. Do
you think there is a chance to find these? Edward seems to think it's not
possible.
