Dear listers,

It has been quite some time since my last successful posting about the Sephardic family of DELVALLE on St. Thomas and I hope you may have some answers to my question.

Just received Judah Cohen's book "Through the Sands of Time"- A history of the Jewish Community of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, which had several new leads for my family research of Delvalle, in particular about children out of wedlock.

He mentions at least 3 cases:

* David Delvalle ( Jewish) and Henrietta LUCAS ( Episcopalian)------> issue Henry H. Delvalle ( baptised 28 april 1875)

* Mr. M LEON ( Jewish) married to a Mrs. R. E. Delvalle ( Dutch Reformed) ( daughter of ?)--------> issue Ester Anita LEON

* Salomon J. Delvalle ( Jewish) and Ludorisca LANGE ( Catholic) -------> issue 2 children Maria born 21 April 1873 and baptized June 16 and Theodore born 16 April 1878 and baptized 17 July.

You can imagine I would like to find out more about these chlidren and or related families. To conclude:
Is there anyone of you who can give me more details about the families of LUCAS, LEON, LANGE and possibly on Delvalle as well for I do not know anything about the identity of the Dutch Reformed R. E. Delvalle.
