And speaking of Cecil B deMille my father was an extra in some of his
early movies. He later taught his son English along with Werner
Klemperer and Malcolm Wallop. Dad was asked to be deMilles falconer
after consulting on one movie but the stuff deMille was asking for was
unfalconlike such as: attacking people, retrieving, flying to the
falconer etc. Dad told him he was asking for trick photography not
falconry. DeMille had offered to pay Dad twice his government salary for
time spent on movies but Dad turned him down. DeMille never invited him
back for more work.

Cecil for you genealogists was actually named Demil a Dutch name not the
French deMille.
