I was born in St Vincent, I know of Saltfish Fritters,
They are really great, but I went back in 1978,
I leave St Vincent in 1963 quite young,
So when I went back there , was going to Canada, But changed my mind,
And came back to England 1979, I had Some Fritters,
Would you Believe it they call them tree-tree, Fritters,
They were Fantastic, they make out of very TINY fish which is caught,
By the River Mouth that flows in the sea,
Now when I fancy some Fritters, I can't get the tree-tree,
I use Onions, Chives, All-purpose seasoning, and add it to the ,
Flour season with other seasoning like black pepper, a tiny bit of curry
powder,
And these taste just as nice, One of my Daughters is a Vegetarian,
she was just 4 years in 1978, and she says MUM these is much nicer than,
Those we used to get in St Vincent, her older sister, who was 6 years older
than her,
Always asking me to make them now, I find the Children Just love them,
And Vegetarians can eat them as well,
I can't give up my ROOTS , Rita
