Dear Jim, Listbuds, and the "old faithfuls",

Life takes us in some different paths than we had planned, but many
times for the best. Congratulations to you, and glad to see you
"resurfacing."

I have been gone from the list also, because of a couple of reasons:
(1) The questions and notices I have posted years ago have begun to be
answered. We have found several of the Taitt family, who has provided
us with much, much information. In fact we visited the homestead my
great-grandfather, Joseph Alfred Taitt (1861-1923), purchased when he
moved from Barbados to Trinidad. And we now know why he moved, it was a
business (running grocery store) deal with a friend and 3 Taitt
brothers. His grandchildren are now living in Trinidad on the same
property. I also now have pictures of the siblings of my grandmother,
and found out that JATaitt married his first cousin, Adelaide E.
Carrington, so I now understand why the Carrington family has been close
to my parents all this time. However, my parents did not know they were
related to them!!!
(2) The Grosvenor side of the family has been "kicking in" also, and
through a researcher in Barbados, I was lead to the correct documents
which are in the LDS. So much material is there, I don't have the time
to get it all, but am working little by little. Now I find in my family
the Huntes, the Callendars, the Tempros, the Downes besides Ottley,
Taitt, Grosvenor, Warner, Young, Morgan, Jackson......etc.etc.etc. And
they come out of Barbados.

What is more interesting is that now that I have photos, I can see where
possibly my parents were related way back, and I may be related to my
husband who comes from Ghana. Relatives on both sides of my family look
like siblings to his family!!!! And we know that some of their
relatives were brought to the Caribbean as slaves. We have not yet
found the documented connection.

So any of you new Listbuds, if you have such names as I have in your
searching or family trees, feel free to write me.

Again Jim, congratulations, and continued success.
